Hi Babes! Welcome to The Stylizt! It’s been a long time coming and I am so excited to have finally launched my blog. This has been a goal of mine for the past decade and it feels so good to finally check it off my To Do Lizt. It only took about a decade to start. Why now you ask? In all honesty, I was so heartbroken over a recent breakup that nothing seemed to help ease my pain except for fashion. Whenever I decided to get up and get dressed, my mood improved. I looked cute and felt like I could conquer the day. #DressToDestress. After months of sulking, one of my BFFs forced me to start my blog as a healthier distraction and goal to work towards something I am so passionate about. Locom, aka Joann, I can’t thank you enough for being my wing woman in this and saving me from self-destruction. To all my family and friends who have encouraged, supported me and lifted me up during the past few months, I cannot thank you enough! You all are an indispensable light in my life and I am forever grateful for you! ILYSM!

Sometimes life doesn’t work out the way you want it to and unfortunately we can’t hit pause, rewind or fast forward. All you can do is get up and get dressed and be the badass Queens that you are! Don’t get me wrong, it still stings from time to time. I have to keep busy or else my mind would drive me crazy! Refocusing my energy into something more positive has saved me and I am so happy for this to finally come together. I hope this inspires you that no matter what happens, you still need to get up and be present in that moment. Life is still moving forward and if you let it, inspirations will pop up everywhere. #CarpeDiem. Some opportunities don’t come twice. 

Now, let’s talk about this outfit! Don’t you just gasp every time you see this skirt? I fell in love with this skirt the moment I saw it. It adds flair and breathes life into you! You seriously can pair it with anything and it will instantly be chic couture. I’ve been living in body suits and have been obsessed with lattice detailing on every top. It’s a pain in the butt to go to the bathroom in but bodysuits are so sleek and the lattice detailing adds a flirty touch. I also love anything with chains, spikes, studs, skulls and stars and am a rocker chick at heart. The shoes elevate the outfit by making it edgier, making me feel more badass. I think accessories complete every outfit and feel more is more. I love stacking rings and bracelets and feel naked if I am not wearing anything. This star ring is so precious to me as it was a birthday gift from all my BFFs this year. You can never go wrong with black either as it is always flattering on every body type.
