Happy International Women’s Day ladies!

Women face enough challenges on a regular basis and having to work past jealousy or competition from other females add unnecessary weight to our lives. Imagine how productive and empowered we’d be if we turned those insecure energies into positive, supportive energy. We’d all lift each other higher than before. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.

Growing up I was bullied from elementary school through college. I didn’t have many girl friends. My mother taught me by example what it takes to break the glass ceiling. She was fierce, unapologetic, and her unwavering strength and perseverance has made me into the woman I am today. She escaped to America and worked endless hours to put a roof over our heads, food on the table and gave us the opportunity to earn an education that she didn’t have herself to pave our own path and pursue our dreams. She was a risk taker and a fighter. If I’ve learned anything from her…it is to fight for what’s right, to fight for what I believe in, to fight for myself and to fight for others.

I have been so blessed to have a strong group of women in my circle today that are not only beautiful but independent, smart, passionate, humorous, unconditional lovers, risk takers, dreamers and girl bosses. Thank YOU for lighting my fire and being a shining beam of light in my life. All you babes inspire me and I am so lucky to be surrounded by kickass women.

May you today and every day, be revered, respected, and loved. May your feminism be intersectional. May your brain be exalted as the most important part of your body. May your divine beauty be recognized and reinforced in all its forms. May you always know that you are enough, just as you are.

Clothes aren’t going to change the world, but the women who wear them certainly will! Empowered women empower women and together incredible things happen. We’ve got this sisters!
